It’s not unusual for people to trade more than 200 times a day, on the same commodity or stock or whatever.
Don’t you ever watch CNBC on TV? The floor traders only pay $0.50 cents per trade, so they rock, not unusual to trade hundreds of times a day.

Commodities are day traded on much more bigger volumes than anything that stocks can approach. Crude oil trading is the most popular example with contracts in rubber, coffee, gold, copper and other metals adding to the basket.
The reason it works is because of supply/demand and the fact that commodities are usually less volatile than stocks.
